But what is forward now all is dust
And the wind said, “try seeing the whole of history so far unravel itself”.
So we harnessed a tool and a sign and a tongue and shot our way off into
the future.
And she said in reply, “after destruction the forward motion to reparation
must be warped - the linear path must be altered”.
So we broke it apart beneath our feet until the tool, sign, and tongue could
no longer grasp its meaning.
And after all this the soil said, “skin on skin is best”.
So we buried the broken fragments of some kind of meaning where skin
could find no touch to linger.
(But what is forward now all is dust?)
