Heir
2022
Inkjet printed on Offenbach Bible Paper, 6gsm Kizuki Kozo, bound with hair.
As a prelude to the 'Preparing for loss' wax cylinder recordings, which entails an imprinting of aeolian sound (air texture) inscribed into wax - 'Heir' seeks to transpose a feeling of absence, preserving elemental depictions of fading time, caught by text and image as opposed to sonically via the phonograph. 'Heir' looks to the act of travel as a mechanism to process and navigate the interlude between capture and loss.
